1. Our commitment
We design PresentForMe to be usable by everyone. Our reference is the WCAG 2.2 guidelines, level AA: we apply them to the design and development of the site, and we check them whenever we add new pages or components.

2. Color contrast
The site's colors are verified before they enter the design system, not patched afterwards:
- Normal text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against its background
- Large text meets a ratio of at least 3:1
- Field placeholders, often overlooked, are held to 4.5:1 as well
3. Visible focus
Every element you can interact with — links, buttons, fields, controls — shows a clearly visible focus indicator when you reach it with the keyboard.

4. No information conveyed by color alone
Color is never the only way we communicate something. Every state — available, reserved, in error — always comes with an icon or a text label.
This matters for people who can't tell certain color pairs apart, but also for anyone reading the screen in bright sunlight or on a poorly calibrated monitor.

5. Motion and animation
The site's animations respect your operating system's "reduce motion" setting. If you have it enabled, transitions and decorative effects are reduced or removed, and content stays immediately available.

6. Keyboard and page structure
The site is built to be used without a mouse as well:
- Full keyboard navigation, in an order that follows the visual one
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of the page, to bypass repeated navigation
- The page language is declared in the markup, so screen readers pronounce it correctly
- Headings and sections follow a consistent hierarchy, which helps anyone navigating by headings
7. Report a problem
If you hit a barrier, a page you can't use, or content your screen reader doesn't announce properly, write to us: it's the fastest way to get it fixed.
